Commission Contract
The price for commissioned artwork is determined by a square inch sliding formula. The following are a few examples:
16 x 20 = $800
18 x 24 = $1200
20 x 30 = $1600
24 x 36 = $1900
36 x 48 = $3500
Any custom canvas size can be ordered with price determined by that formula.
A non-refundable deposit of $125 is required for certain landscapes (i.e. a residence).
Because of a portraits nature a $200 or 20% non-refundable deposit is required prior to the project beginning.
Deposits are always applied against the price.

The Artist will consult with the Client concerning the canvas material, canvas size, and orientation. The Artist will use his own materials and workspace. The Client understands that the Artist will often take artistic license when working from a photo to create the most pleasing work possible.
With portraits a high quality photo is best and additional shots from various angles help the artist capture a good likeness. With multiple photos the Client will make clear which photo is to be the main subject of the portrait. A high quality photo for any painting is always best for the artist to work from. Photos from social media sites are discouraged. They tend to download at a low resolution. The Client is aware that it could be 6 to 10 weeks minimum, after the painting is finished, before delivery of the painting to allow adequate time for drying and varnishing.
As the work get well under way the artist will provide the Client with digital photos of the work in progress. The Client can then request changes to the artwork. The artist can accept or reject the requested changes. If the artist accepts to make the changes then upon completion another set of digital photos will be emailed to the Client(It's possible for this exchange to go on several times). If the artist rejects making the Clients changes or after the artist has made the requested changes and the Client is still not satisfied with the artwork. The client can then choose not to purchase the piece. If the Client chooses not to purchase the art piece at the end of the commission, the Artist will keep the piece and the nonrefundable deposit. The Client will have no further claims or interests on the Artist. The Artist, in turn, will owe the Client nothing further.
The Client will pay the Artist a total of $ for this piece. The Client will pay a nonrefundable deposit of $. , before the project begins that covers the cost of materials and time.
The Client will pay the balance of the agreed upon price before delivery of the finished piece. The art piece shall be delivered or shipped to the Client at the following address:
