Yes, each painting is done by me oil on canvas based on my photos. The one exception is with commissions where I could be working from a clients image.

Once I decide on a canvas size I crop my photo to the correct ratio. I apply a matching grid to the photo and canvas. Next I do a loose sketch. I then block in the painting. I layer in the painting in several sessions defining finer details with each session. Once dry the painting is protected with a layer of Gumvar varnish.
