The pandemic has undoubtedly brought about numerous challenges and hardships, but amidst all the gloom, there are a few silver linings. One of them, in my opinion, is the rise of outdoor dining, which has allowed people to safely enjoy meals and socialize with loved ones while taking in the fresh air and beautiful surroundings. I had the pleasure of capturing this scene of a delightful outdoor dining area along Strong Ave in Northampton, Mass. The painting was created using a combination of acrylics and alkyd oil on a high-quality cotton canvas measuring 20 x 30 x 3/4". The use of these materials has allowed me to create a multi-layered piece that captures the essence of this serene and inviting space.
